Is a cold plate dishwasher safe?

I got my cold plate for my 1400 about six weeks ago and have been smoking cheese every weekend since. It's starting to get really sticky and stinky! Can I put it in the dishwasher? Thanks.

That's a good question, and I'd hope Admin will chime in. I'd like to know that one myself. It appears there are wlds, but I can't offer anything re: the construction of it. My thought is that it's only a dead air space and a "blocker" for the heat, but I don't know for sure if there's anything inside there or not that could be damaged by the water.
